Josh has spent his career informing behavioral health system transformation at the person, provider, health plan, state, and national levels: addressing mental health, substance use, and disability issues in their broader social and economic context. He has used this knowledge to understand specific organizational needs and to tailor diverse data into practical decision-support tools for executive, operational, clinical, and quality leaders. With an understanding of the strategic environment, data science methods, and evidence-based practices, Josh has led teams to design and craft quality measures, enterprise dashboards, white papers, secure applications, statistical models, and more. From individual program design and evaluation to state-level population analysis, he has sought to keep people receiving services at the center of systemic efforts. Specific areas of interest include: decision and implementation science, human-centered design principles, organizational design and strategy, quality measure development, geospatial analysis, network/graph analysis, natural language processing, interactive data visualization.”
